We turn our commitment to disability inclusion into practical action through programmes designed around the needs, experiences, and aspirations of the communities we serve. From health and wellbeing to education, employment, and social inclusion, our projects create opportunities for disabled people to access support, develop skills, build confidence, and participate fully in their communities.
We work collaboratively with disabled people, local communities, professionals, and partners to ensure our programmes are accessible, meaningful, and responsive to local needs — creating change that can be felt in everyday lives.
DEA UK
Our UK team develops and delivers national projects that support disabled people, their families, and professionals.
We utilise our social media platforms to campaign actively on global disability issues, while also engaging with national movements to amplify awareness, influence change, and promote inclusion.
Through our work, we challenge perceptions and shift attitudes towards disability both across the UK and internationally — empowering communities to drive meaningful change at a local level.
Health Horizons Wellbeing Project
This is a National Lottery Community Funded Project involving the delivery of a free workshop series running across Wiltshire throughout 2026, designed for adults living with disability. Learn more
Care Act Assessment Eligibility Resources (Coming Soon)
DEA is developing a free, accessible resource series — The Care Act Unpacked: Your Guide to Needs Assessments — using plain English, calm visuals, and short videos to demystify the assessment process.

DEA Africa
DEA Africa focuses on delivering direct, practical support to some of the most underserved communities on the continent.
We utilise our social media platforms to campaign actively on global disability issues, while also engaging with national movements to amplify awareness, influence change, and promote inclusion.
School Children's Education Fund
In Zimbabwe, we have supported a child living with HIV at the Patricia Jabangwe Children's Home in Harare, covering school fees and educational supplies to ensure continued access to learning.
JK's Home
We support the JK's Orphanage and Special Needs Academy by helping to fund educational materials, adaptive learning tools, therapy equipment, and the operational needs that keep this vital community resource running.
Albinism Support
We also partner with the Nyashadzedu Disabled Trust, a community initiative supporting individuals with albinism, providing protective essentials such as sunscreen and corrective eyewear, alongside fundraising for educational materials.
Livelihood Project
We are developing innovative livelihood initiatives that create sustainable economic opportunities for people with disabilities across Africa — exploring skills, training, technology, and green enterprise to build pathways to employment and financial independence.
